One of Europe’s most renowned international art schools operates the Centre for Design Innovation as a satellite centre in Moray.
In addition to employing researchers, the Centre offers student placements and internships with Highlands and Islands businesses, aiming to create new research and commercialisation opportunities. One of its priority research areas is health and wellbeing. It also supports 100 businesses to engage in design led innovation.

Moray Council is investing more than £300m in its learning estate,
91.3% of 16-19 year-olds participate in education, training and employment, approaching the national average of 93.4%.
There are 3,832 16–19-year-olds in the area with 91.2% now participating in education, training or employment. To meet and then exceed the national average of 91.8%, the Moray Skills Pathway provides a structured pathway for young people from aged 3-18 into employment or further education.
This coordinated approach links labour market information, learning pathways and local employers with the provision of careers advice and guidance.

The Scottish Government currently funds 1,140 hours of early learning and childcare per year for three, four and eligible two-year-olds. In Moray, this is delivered by a combination of school nurseries, independent (private and third sector) early learning and childcare providers, and childminders (for two-year-olds only).
