The Moray Council Community Identified Benefits Portal allows local community groups to request specific support from council suppliers or contractors, enhancing community projects and causes. It also allows suppliers to view requests and submit offers to deliver.
Community benefits are embedded within the Council’s procurement practices, which aim to provide added value for local communities. A range of social, environmental and employability support services can be requested from suppliers who secure goods and services contracts worth in excess of £50,000. Council suppliers can offer to deliver these community benefit activities in addition to the activity included in the contract secured, ensuring that the impact of winning a tender provides benefit to communities in Moray as well as the supplier who has secured the contract.
The Council has developed a new process for coordinating delivery of such community benefits. This new process provides a platform for local community groups and third sector organisations to submit requests for support – and provide a portal for Council suppliers to view the selection of local opportunities available for them to deliver. Creation of this new Community Identified Benefits Portal is aligned to the Council’s work in delivering the Moray Community Wealth Building strategy.
The Community Identified Benefits Portal is open to any community group, organisation, association, or registered charity based within Moray.
The Community Identified Benefits Portal has been designed to help businesses deliver community benefits that positively impact local people and communities. Businesses can use the portal to support requests from local groups.
