Moray is one of the best examples in Scotland, if not the UK, of an established yet growing rural economy; from whisky to tourism, from golf to manufacturing, we have it all.
Despite the many opportunities, we also face challenges and that is why projects such as the National Rural Commission from the Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI) is so important.
SCDI has set up the National Rural Commission to look into the challenges and opportunities rural economies face. For two years the independent commission will support rural businesses across Scotland by making recommendations on how they can develop and grow.
For Moray this is welcome news and feeds into our work on the Moray Growth Deal.
